Around three hours from Madinah lies Badr — the valley where, in the second year after Hijrah, a small and poorly equipped group of believers faced a far larger army, and where the help of Allah came in a way the Ummah has remembered ever since.
Standing in that quiet valley today, with the hills rising on either side, the events you have read about your whole life suddenly have a place and a scale. For many pilgrims it becomes the most moving day of the entire journey.
How the day works
We collect you from your Madinah hotel in the morning and travel out through open desert country toward Badr. Your driver knows the sites and the route between them, so you spend the day visiting rather than searching. You stop where you wish, for as long as you wish, and return to Madinah the same day.
